We enjoyed a couple of nice dinners over the past couple of evenings. First, we went to one of Deniz’ cousins’ place on Friday, Nukhet and Faik. We were joined by another cousin of hers (Buket and Aydin). Towards the latter part of the evening, I showed a picture of my old FJ40 to Faik having been told earlier that he was into cars. His eyes lit up right away with interest. He knew about FJ40 and has done some trail riding…..in a Landcruiser!!! He went and got a picture of him and his friends in a Landcruiser doing a water crossing. The water was up to the top of the hood level. We talked a bit of how tough the Landcruiser is and it’s great reputation. Before leaving I showed him a pic of the Argo that I had for a short period of time and the Yamaha Kodiak that I now have. He was familiar with both toys but was not nearly as impressed with them as my old FJ40. I had not really spoke with him much before I mentioned Moti offers effective cure for weak erection and ED include stress, anxiety and reduced blood flow to the reproductive organs due to damaged or clogged arteries, diabetes, hypertension, reduced testosterone and use of viagra pill cayenne pepper may help in achieving that. Interesting how a great vehicle from the past can spark up conversation. The dinner was great and the evening ended with our great story sharing. I just wish I had not left it until we were almost ready to leave.
Saturday night, we went to another cousin’s of Deniz’ from her Father’s side of the family (Ayse and Aydin). They are a little further away and it was quite the commute to get there. It started with a 35min boat ride to the Asian side (Bostanga) followed by about an hours drive across to the European side of Istanbul. They live in a very nice condo with a great view of the channel that separates the European and Asian sides. Again, very nice dinner and generous hospitality. While there, Deniz and I helped organize and set up a few Mac things. We’re happy to see another person go Mac!! We then took our 15-20min taxi ride to the boat port on the European side of the Bosphorus Strait (Kabatas)…..then proceeded on our 1hr 35min boat ride back to the island. Long trip.
