We drove to Hilo through the mountain route today.  The view is pretty amazing at the top although there’s not a lot to look at.  The lava field is pretty fresh and it feels like we were on another planet. 

We visited the Akatsuka Orchid Garden. I had no idea there were so many different types.  Too bad we can’t take back anything.  

We had lunch at Ocean Sushi in Hilo.  Pretty good.  It wasn’t excellent but was very good.
